Which Province Should You Apply To? A PNP Comparison

Feb 28, 2026

Canada's Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows provinces and territories to nominate individuals who wish to settle in their region. Each province has different streams, requirements, and processing times.

Ontario (OINP) is the most popular province for immigrants, with streams for tech workers, French speakers, and those with job offers. However, competition is fierce and CRS requirements tend to be higher.

British Columbia (BC PNP) offers the Tech stream with regular draws and relatively fast processing. It's ideal for IT professionals, engineers, and other tech workers.

Alberta's AINP has been expanding rapidly, with streams for Alberta Express Entry, Alberta Opportunity, and the new Tourism and Hospitality stream.

Saskatchewan (SINP) and Manitoba (MPNP) often have lower CRS requirements and are great options for applicants who may not qualify for Ontario or BC. They also value community connections.

Atlantic provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, Newfoundland) offer the Atlantic Immigration Program, which is employer-driven and often has faster processing times.

At JPG Global, we analyze your complete profile and match you with the province and stream that gives you the best chance of success. A provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points — effectively guaranteeing an invitation.
